Forty Three (or Forty Six) Word of Mouth Tips you can Implement Today.

As readers know, last month I attended the Word of Mouth Marketing Association's Basic Training conference. Overall it was a great show and one of the most actionable items came in the form of 43 Word  of Mouth Marketing Strategies You Can Implement Today there are some great tips on this handout. Here's a couple of my own I'd add...

44.. Record a podcast interview and bundle it with your SEO press releases. The interview gives some nice audio content that is highly likely to get picked up by all the podcast news networks hungry for content. It also gives you a quick way to produce something that can go viral on you.

45. Name names. When you blog about an event, mention a person or an organization. Then let the person or organization know you you mentioned them. They'll want to forward the link to others in their network.

46. Focus on topics everyone is talking about. Tie your products or services in with the most searched terms of the day. Today's top terms include "Shakira" and "Ohio Unemployment" not to mention a host of terms in between. Chances are there is something in those terms related to your organization.

Bill,

Thanks for adding to the list. These are some terrific suggestions -- especially #45. Everyone loves to see their names in print (or on screen).

I've added your name to the list of experts that have weighed in with additional commentary.

The original handout with all 43 ideas as presented at WOMMA's WOMBAT 2 conference can be downloaded for free:
